Using
RPI Rankings to Judge the MAC's Pre-Conference Performance

| ITEMS
OF NOTE: |
- The MAC is normally
ranked in around #11 in the RPI conference rating.
This year the MAC is rated #16 and has been as low as
#20 during the non-conference season.
- No MAC Teams have wins
against RPI Top 50 teams this year.
- Only two teams (Ohio and
WMU) are in the RPI top 100.
- Three teams (Bowling
Green, EMU, and Northern Illinois) are in the RPI
Bottom 100.
- Only five teams (WMU,
Buffalo, Kent State, Miami, and BSU) have wins against
RPI Top 100 teams.
- Three teams (Toledo,
CMU, and Bowling Green) have losses against RPI Bottom
100 teams.
- Western Michigan's
schedule is ranked #6 out of 336 Division 1 teams.
- Bowling Green's schedule
is ranked #336 out of 336 Division 1 teams.
