On the projected starting lineup:
"If I had to project a starting lineup today (Sunday) it would be Peyton Stovall, Dennis Trammell, Skip Mills, Terrance Chapman, and Michael Bennett.  We'll see what Anthony Kent has in store for us in practice today, because I really wasn't too pleased with his practice yesterday."

On Anthony Kent's level of play against Taylor:
"I think you have to watch the film to appreciate it more.  If you were just watching the game, you would say, 'I don't know what he did.'  I think what you would find is that he played pretty good defense.  I thought a couple of his foul calls were questionable, but those are things you're going to have to deal with.  He's a quick study and a quick learner.  I think the mistake is that people think just because you have a seven footer that looks like Lonnie Jones that he's going to be that guy.  He hasn't played any division one basketball yet.  We just need Anthony to be Anthony.  Obviously we would like to see him score the ball a little bit more, but the way Kentucky plays when the ball goes inside he's going to have to be a little better passer.  They like to double the post, so he's going to have to read the situations.  That's what he does best."

On Anthony Kent's thin frame:
"It (Kent's weight) will always be a factor (inside the paint)."

On preparing for the season given the fighting incidents over the weekend:
"I think you want them to use their better judgment at all times.  You don't want to let your emotions get the most of you.  I think it does to all of us at some point in time.  You know, the difference between football and some of the other sports is that we want guys on a football field to be violent, aggressive, and have that kind of mentality, and then when they leave the field to be regular nice guys. I don't know if you can always do that.  It's a different mentality. I admire those guys who do it at a high level. Emotions run high, and if you've ever competed in athletics, you understand what we're talking about when we say that.  It really is (a fine line), and there are things that come up all the time that you don't know are going to happen."

On Michael Bennett's play right now:
"I think he is in great shape and he has confidence in his abilities, which maybe he didn't have in the past. Now he feels like he is a good player, and he should feel like that, because he is.  He is very intelligent."

On Bennett's injury:
"He's another one of those guys who is going to be sore for the rest of his life just because of the way he plays.  He plays with reckless abandon and he's going to have some difficulty with his shoulder; that's why he wears the harness.  He had knee surgery his freshman year, so he has been banged up and beaten up and I really admire the fact that he gets here early everyday and stays late, and does the things he needs to do to keep his body healthy."

On Peyton Stovall's all around play:
"I think when you have a talented player like that you can ask him to do different things, but I think his instincts and his feel are that he understands when he's needed to do those different things.  You know, he reminds me a little bit of, in his instincts and the way he carries himself, a little bit of Dwayne Wade when I recruited Dwayne at Marquette.  They just kind of have.  They understand what it is, and you really can't put your finger on it."

Dennis Trammell
On treating it as just another game:
"It's just another game to us.  It's not anything special. We've been preparing like we would for anybody else."

On looking forward to the challenge of matching up with Kentucky's good guards:
"We accept all of these challenges.  We know they've got good big guys too, but like you say, their guards are good.  We're accepting all challenges."

On perhaps having a little more experience than Kentucky:
"I believe it will help.  Experience is always good, especially when you're playing some guys who this is probably their first year of college.  I think that will help out a lot."

On ways to win:
"Things we've been harping on all year - rebounds, taking care of the ball, basically just guard for 40 minutes - play defense for 40 minutes."

On breaking Kentucky's press:
"We press each other every day in practice, so it's not going to be anything that we're not used to."

On any advantage playing in Cincinnati instead of Rupp Arena:
"It doesn't matter.  We just want to play the game."

Terrance Chapman
On his game this year versus last year:
"I look to be more of a factor, basically.  I look to do a bunch of different things - get my guys open, look to score a little bit more, hit the boards harder.  I feel that I have more of a leadership role this year.  Not that I didn't last year, but last year was a learning experience.  It was my first year playing at this level.  Since I've gotten some experience I feel my game will come to me this year better than it did last year."

On gaining experience:
"That was a big help for me, watching both on and off the court.  I feel better prepared to play at this level even more."

On the team's preparation level heading into the first game:
"Yeah, I feel like we're ready.  We've been waiting for this for about five and a half weeks now.  Everybody is ready to play someone different.  That's why it was time for a game last Wednesday, because we were beating each other up during practice.  We're ready.  We're prepared.  Now hopefully we'll just go out there and execute."

On this year's practices being more competitive:
"We have guys after each other all the time.  That just shows the competitiveness.  We have guys get into it almost every day.  I don't think that's a bad thing.  That's going to happen because they're your teammates.  You just keep that on the court and in the locker room."
