Buchanan Family Welcomes Three Cardinals To Dinner Over Fall Break (10/24/2005)

As most students run off to home for fall break, many Ball State student athletes are faced with spending break away from their families in order to fulfill their game and practice responsibilities. The members of the Ball State football team are one such group. In order to give the team members a home cooked meal over break, the Cardinal Varsity Club invited CVC member families to host football team members in their homes for dinner over fall break. These meals were coordinated with the Athletic Department to ensure compliance with NCAA regulations regarding extra benefits. One of our GoBSU.com founder's families, the Buchanan's, hosted Senior running back Charles Wynn, Freshman offensive lineman Jordan Applegate, and Freshman safety David Wise as part of the program. Opportunistic Eric made the Freshmen work for their meal, forcing them to stand on their chairs and sing the Ball State Fight Song. He also made them compile a quick video introduction to themselves so Ball State fans across the World Wide Web could get to know them a little better. Charles Wynn being a senior was only required to relax and heckle the Freshmen. Ok, I'm kidding about the singing, but the Freshmen did compile a short video introduction interview that you may view by clicking the hyperlink below.
