Home
and Home Football Series With Navy Announced

| MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball
State University has signed a home and home football contract to
play Navy in 2007 and 2008. The Cardinals will play at Navy
Sept. 15, 2007, and the Midshipmen will visit Ball State’s
Scheumann Stadium Sept. 6, 2008. |
| Ball State and Navy
have played only one other time in football, and the Cardinals
tallied a 33-10 win over the Midshipmen in 1991 |
| Ball State had
previously released its non-conference football opponents for
the 2006 season. The football team will open the 2006 season at
Michigan Sept. 2, host Indiana Sept. 9, play at Purdue Sept.
16., and host North Dakota State Sept. 23. |
| The home game with
Indiana will mark the first time the Hoosiers will play football
at Ball State. The two teams met for the first time ever in 1997
and then again in 1999, both games were played at IU. The game
at Michigan will mark Ball State’s first-ever game at Michigan
Stadium and first-ever against the Wolverines. Michigan Stadium
is the largest collegiate football stadium in the country with a
seating capacity of 110,000. |
| The contest at Purdue
will mark the seventh meeting between the two schools in a
series which dates back to 1985. The last time the two teams met
was in 2004, while all six games have been played at Purdue. |
| Ball State and North
Dakota State have never met in football. North Dakota State is
an NCAA Division IAA school which competes in the Great West
Football Conference. |

Miller Named to All-MAC First Team; Blair Kramer Selected to Second

| MUNCIE,
Ind. -- Chris Miller (Libertyville, Ill./Carmel H.S.), a
redshirt freshman punter for the Ball State University football
team, was selected to the All-Mid-American Conference First
Team, which is voted on by the league’s 12 head coaches. Blair
Kramer (Maumee, Ohio/St. John’s Jesuit H.S.), a senior for the
Cardinals in 2005, was named to the All-MAC Second Team. |
