Keys Named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week (09/04/2006) |

| MUNCIE, Ind.
-- Erik Keys (Indianapolis, Ind./Broad Ripple H.S.), a
senior member of the Ball State University football team,
has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division
Defensive Player of the Week. |
| Keys managed
eight tackles (2 solo, 6 assists) while leading the
Cardinals defense in the team’s 38-20 home field victory
over Eastern Michigan last Thursday. He also managed one
tackle for loss in the contest. |
| This marks the
second time in Keys’ career he has won the award. He
also received the honor in 2004 after his performance in
Ball State’s 21-17 win over Central Florida. |
| Ball State will
host Indiana University Saturday in a 6:30 p.m. contest at
