Erik Keys Named MAC West Division Defensive Player of the Week (09/04/2006)

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Erik Keys (Indianapolis, Ind./Broad Ripple H.S.), a senior member of the Ball State University football team, has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week.
Keys managed eight tackles (2 solo, 6 assists) while leading the Cardinals defense in the team’s 38-20 home field victory over Eastern Michigan last Thursday. He also managed one tackle for loss in the contest.
This marks the second time in Keys’ career he has won the award. He also received the honor in 2004 after his performance in Ball State’s 21-17 win over Central Florida.
