| LAST
MEETING: November 19, 2005 - in Muncie
- Central Michigan 31, Ball State 24 in
Overtime. Ball State jumped out to a
14-0 lead and held the Chips scoreless until
the final 1:49 of the first half when CMU
scored with a 28 yard field goal and then a
29 yard touchdown pass as time expired in
the first half. The teams traded touchdowns
in the third quarter and Ball State held a
21-17 lead until there was 1:51 remaining in
the game when Central Michigan returned a
blocked punt for a touchdown to take a 24-21
lead. BSU responded when Brian Jackson
scored a 30 yard field goal with 10 second
remaining to force overtime. Central
Michigan scored a touchdown on their only
overtime possession and held Ball State scoreless
to win the game. The loss snapped a 3 game
BSU winning streak and the season ended with
the Cardinal record standing at 4-7. Charles
Wynn had 78 yards rushing and 34 yards
receiving and 1 touchdown in his final game
as a Cardinal.
