| MUNCIE, Ind.
-- Brian Jackson (Dothan, Ala./Northview H.S.), a
senior placekicker on the Ball State University football
team, has been named the Mid-American Conference West
Division Special Teams Player of the Week. |
| Jackson
made field goals of 37 and 50 yards to help the Cardinals
to a 20-17 win at Miami University Saturday. His 50-yard
field goal pulled Ball State within 17-13 with 7:02
remaining in the contest. In addition, Jackson
kicked two extra points to give him 103 in his career,
which ties the Ball State career mark. |

This marks
the second time in his career Jackson has received
the weekly honor. Jackson also received the honor
Oct. 5, 2005. |
| Ball State
improved to 3-6 overall and 3-3 in the MAC with the win at
Miami University. The Cardinals will travel to the
nation’s second-ranked Michigan Wolverines Saturday in a
Noon kickoff game to be televised on ESPNU. |
