FROM BALL STATE ATHLETICS COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State University head football coach Brady Hoke has signed a three year contract extension, according to Ball State director of athletics Tom Collins.
Hoke, who is a 1982 graduate of Ball State, is under contract to serve as Ball State’s head football coach through the 2010 season.
"The direction of the Ball State football program is progressing in a very positive direction," Collins says. "We are pleased with the leadership Coach Hoke is giving to the program, and we are excited about the future. Construction on the Scheumann Stadium renovations have begun, and improving the facilities will only enhance the program and its chances to succeed."
A four-year football letterman at Ball State from 1977-80, and a team captain for the Cardinals as a senior, Hoke was named the school’s head football coach Dec. 18,2002. He is one of only 18 NCAA Division IA head coaches in the country who are coaching at their alma mater in 2006.
Ball State is 3-3 in the Mid-American Conference this season with games at Toledo Nov. 14, and at home vs. Kent State Nov. 24, still remaining on the schedule.
