Kent State out gained Ball State for the game and had a 17-14 lead at the mid point of the second quarter but the Cardinals forced 4 turnovers and came away with a 17 point victory. Talmadge Hill threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Larry Bostic and Brian Williamson each had touchdown receptions.

This will be the final game for the grass turf in Scheumann Stadium. The grass turf will be replaced with FieldTurf before the start of the 2007 season.
This will also be the final game for the glorious (sarcasm) Scheumann Stadium Press Box. The Press Box will be replaced with a truly glorious (no sarcasm) Kozel Communications Center before the start of the 2007 season. Morey Mannies has asked to take the first swing at tearing down the old press box. In addition to the communications aspects of the new Kozel Communications Center, included in the package will be club level seating and 16 luxury entertainment suites which which are rented on a yearly basis and have been sold out since shortly after the stadium renovation announcement.
This will be the final game for the 82nd Ball State football team.
