| The Cardinal Varsity
Club dates back to 1962 when friends and alumni established the
club to provide support to help Ball State's intercollegiate
athletic program grow. |
| CVC has grown into
an extremely vital part of Ball State
athletics. Without CVC or a similar source of support, Ball State's
teams would have to compete at a considerably lower level and/or in
fewer sports. Ball State's athletic budget currently ranks in
the bottom third of the Mid-American Conference. Yearly contributions from CVC members
supplement the athletic budget, make up a
large percentage of athletic scholarship dollars, and play
a significant part in many if not most of the improvements to
Ball State's athletic venues. |
| Cardinal fans have
become increasingly vocal that not just competing, but winning
at a very high level is important to them. That level of winning
has no chance of happening without the continued support of
current CVC members and improved support from Cardinal fans who
are not CVC members. |
| In addition to game
attendance, donating to Cardinal Varsity Club is the absolute
best way people can play a role in Ball State athletics. By
donating to CVC, members are In a very real sense a part of
every Ball State team. |
